Official Groundbreaking of the Amura project

onstruction has begun on Amura, a 38-home residential development promoted by Arev Homes and designed by Vilalta Studio in the El Rengle district, next to TecnoCampus Mataró-Maresme and close to the seafront.

The project combines sustainability, innovation, and architectural quality. Its design orients all homes towards the sea through a combination of dual-aspect and sea-facing layouts, together with a façade of curved balconies inspired by waves, sand, and naval geometry.

Amura will incorporate an industrialised cross-laminated timber structure (CLT), responsibly sourced materials, and high-efficiency climate systems to reduce its environmental impact. The rooftop will feature landscaped communal areas and a swimming pool overlooking the Mediterranean.

According to Xavier Vilalta, director of Vilalta Studio: “Amura proposes a way of living that is connected to contemporary urban life, nature, climate, and the identity of the place.”

The project reflects Vilalta Studio’s commitment to more responsible and efficient architecture, focused on improving people’s quality of life.
