We keep moving forward with FLORA, one of Vilalta Studio’s largest-scale projects. The structure has now reached the 5th floor of a total of 19.

Our director, Xavier Vilalta, travels regularly to Ethiopia to personally oversee the construction, while the rest of the team continues coordinating the project from Barcelona.

Located just a few meters from Bole Road, in the heart of Addis Ababa, this building was born with a dual ambition: to become a new urban landmark, visible from afar, and to stand as a reference for sustainable architecture.

Its volume, shaped by four large petals, shields from the sun, creates livable outdoor spaces, and gives the building a unique identity, takes its inspiration from the city’s very name, Addis Ababa, which in Amharic means The New Flower.
